knowing if someone has their quicknotes turned off

When you send a quicknote to someone who has seemed interested in talking to you in the past but get no answer from them, is there a way of knowing whether they are ignoring you or just don't even have their quicknotes turned on?

well, if you want to know if someone is ignoring you, you can go to the "my account" link, and then the "change my account settings" and then "update my ignore settings". at the bottom of the page you will see a list of all the users who have you on ignore. As for people having their quicknotes turned off, if a user has all quicknotes turned off, then their name does not appear in the quicknote box when you go to send them a quicknote.

Thanks to both of you. I guess if a name doesn't show up if a person has all notes turned off, then the people who aren't answering me are just sick of me. Well, you don't have to hit me over the head with a baseball bat to get a point across (grin).

Yeah, thanks. That answers my question, and I also don't have to be hit over the head to get it when someone doesn't want to talk to me.

But what about if someone just has the public quick notes turned off and notthe private ones as well.Because if you talk to someone using the public quick notesand they've got them turned off, how are you supposed to know that?

I guess if you don't get a response, then use private quicknotes to say hi and ask them if they have public notes turned off.
